. . . so i was digging in my bed
i thought i smelled a crumb
it might've been a treat i dropped
don't know where it came from
it smelled so very tasty
so i dug alittle more
next thing i knew my paw broke thru
and then i felt the floor
i stuck my nose down really far
to try and find the snack
my head popped thru the open hole
now there's no turning back

when i came home your bowl was gone, i asked dad where you went
he said that you were feeling sick - to doctor you were sent
so i asked 'can we pick him up?' and daddy said 'why, sure!
i bet he's feeling Good as New, and won't feel sick no more!'
and so we went and got him, with his friends in one big tank
i knew which fish was mine, and then the doctor i did thank
as we were driving home i looked him over, real good
i told my dad he didn't look as Golden as he should....
then daddy said 'i'm sure he's fine - you've granted all his wishes -
you'll have him Home tonight - he wont be sleeping with the fishes'
